12.1 HOW TO CREATE AN ADVERTISEMENT
    • Decide where you'd like to create your ad. There are various useful tools for creating ads such as CobbTools, with other tools for fonts and icons. You may want to create a personal google document to store your ads and templates.
    • Start off by gathering the raw information the customer wants in their ad. This will commonly be the main body containing what they are advertising, any extra information such as prices, vehicle modification etc which is usually followed by a contact number, link, or other instruction. Example:
      • Example: Buying 10F Widebody has to be maxed Text offers to 123-4567
    • The next step is to add color, there are two (2) methods to insert colors into adverts. When you use a color code, ALL text after will be in that color, so if you'd like to go back to white text you need to specify it using ~w~.
      Basic Colors
      ~r~Red Text
      ~g~Green Text
      ~b~Blue Text
      ~y~Yellow Text
      ~q~Pink Text
      ~p~Purple Text
      ~o~Orange Text
      ~m~Light Grey
      ~c~Dark Grey
      ~w~White Text
      ~u~Black Text
      Hex Colors
Hex colors can be found across many websites and it's a personal preference for which one you feel comfortable working with.
The format for using a hex color is !{HEX_COLOR} - where 'HEX_COLOR' must be replaced with a color reference in order to be applied. Sometimes a hex color may require a # to be present in-front of the code.

Example: ~g~Buying !{4040FF}10F Widebody ~r~has to be maxed ~w~ Text offers to ~o~123-4567
    • Add icons. There are many icons available for use to make ads look less plain and add something extra. Not all icons work, however those that do can be found on CobbTools or on the Employee Spreadsheet under 'Ad Icons'. Keep the icons relevant to the content of the ad and try to find a balance without using too few or too many.
      • Example: ~g~$ Buying $ !{4040FF}10F Widebody ~r~⚡has to be maxed⚡ ~w~Text offers to ~o~☎️123-4567☎️
    • Test your ad! This is a very important step, before we release the ad to the public we need to make sure it works as intended. Make sure to run your ad locally to check if the fonts, colors, and icons all work as intended. Similarly to icons, some fonts work and some do not, so make sure to test them out. The most common font used is sᴍᴀʟʟᴄᴀᴘs. ((The best way to test an ad is to paste it in /dolow. DO NOT use any commands such as /wr to test your ad.))
