1. APPLICANT INFORMATION
  • 1.1 First Name: Chris

    1.2 Last Name: Cotter

    1.3 Gender:
    • Male
      Female
      Other
    1.4 Phone Number: 3368747

1.5 Driver's License: 1.6 Personal Biography (Minimum 100 words): I grew up north of Cincinnati, where cornfields stretch forever and work isn’t optional — it’s survival. Summers meant hauling hay in the August heat, fixing worn-out tractors, and learning how to keep old machines alive. I’ve always been good with numbers and calm under pressure, which took me from the fields to the warehouse floor. Before long, I was the guy with the clipboard, balancing the books and keeping crews moving. Somewhere along the way, I found the Thompson family — brothers and sister who became my own. Together we headed west to Paleto Bay, chasing something real, building trust, and carving out a brotherhood of our own. Up here, I have completed many shifts doing odd jobs, working with the city on road crew, trucking, even driving a bus.
2. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2.1 Why do you want to work at Bayview Auto Center? (Minimum 50 words): Looking for something permanent and reliable, and Bayview appears to need skilled help here in Paleto. I have years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment, diagnosing problems quickly, and keeping operations running smoothly. I take pride in hard, honest work and consistency. Joining Bayview would let me put my skills to use while contributing to a dependable team and establishing long-term roots in the community I am calling home.

2.2 Why should we hire you? (Minimum 100 words): I bring years of mechanical experience, from diagnosing complex engine and farm/large equipment issues to completing durable, high-quality repairs. My background includes long hours in challenging conditions where staying calm and organized under pressure was essential. I’m quick to learn new systems, adaptable when the unexpected happens, and focused on getting the job done right the first time. Along with technical skill, I’m dependable, hardworking, and committed to supporting the team’s success. My ability to solve problems, stay detail-oriented, and keep operations moving would add immediate value to Bayview Auto Center.

2.3 What qualities will you bring to Bayview Auto Center?: Strong work ethic, mechanical expertise, and problem-solving under pressure. I adapt quickly to new challenges and keep a cool head when things break unexpectedly. I’m reliable, thorough, and take ownership of my work, ensuring tasks are done right and on time. My clear communication helps keep a shop organized and efficient, while my practical mindset and willingness to learn make me a dependable teammate.

    • Yes
      No
3. SCENARIO QUESTIONS
  • 3.1 There is a long line of customers all waiting for service and you are the only mechanic on duty, how do you handle this situation?
    • Everyone should get served, first come, first served. Especially, for quick jobs. If someone has a complete remodel, this may take more time, and quick oil changes or headlights, could be handled first if the customer doesn't mind. Communication is key.
3.2 A customer is not happy with the labor fee and does not want to pay for it. Your colleague has already explained that this fee is mandatory, but they still argue the charge. What would you do?
    • You could meet them where they are at, explain the charges and fees are posted, but you understand that they may not have expected it. With the supervisor's permission, a one-time discount could be a reasonable compromise. While it may not be what they wanted to pay, they don't leave with a sour taste in their mouth and tell their friends and family about their 'poor service' at Bayview. That kind of publicity is not good for a company.
3.3 A customer is being disrespectful towards one of your colleagues and starts to threaten them. What would you do?
    • Hopefully, it wouldn't escalate to this extreme scenario. But leading up to this level, we would need to try to de-escalate the situation. If this didn't work, our safety and that of our customers must come first. This could mean a call to the sheriff's department may be in order. Stating this could take care of the situation immediately. Otherwise, calling for the authorities is the best method. All while trying to keep calming the situation. If I were to witness the threatening manner first, de-escalation may not be in the cards and an immediate call to the SD would take place first, then an attempt to de-escalate could be entertained.

Name is Chris Cotter
((Not sure why you would think that. I tried to make it as authentic as possible. So, I guess I'm not sure what you're expecting here. It falls in line with my character's backstory, and it's how I would respond if this were real life. Please let me know what you're expecting here))
((Are you referring to my username radghkris? I need to change that? What about if I apply to another job on my alt character - Tovan Thompson?))

Looking forward to hearing from you.

My apologies. I may have a concussion from that interview - and maybe that would explain my confusion...but... Have I ever worked for Bayview in the past? I couldn't help but notice that I was "reinstated". Is that right? Maybe I do need to be seen by a doctor at Pillbox. LMK. I will be headed up to Pillbox for the night to be seen.
