2. Experience & Qualifications

There is no formal word requirement but detail is appreciated and will help your application.
  • 2.1 - Why would you like to be employed at Los Santos Customs?
    • I recently moved from Hawaii to Los Santos looking for better job opportunities, and Los Santos Customs seems like a good place to start. I’m interested in cars, enjoy working with people, and would like a steady job where I can learn and grow.
2.2 - Why do you think you would be a good fit for Los Santos Customs and why?
    • I think I’d be a good fit because I’m the type of person who shows up, listens, and actually wants to learn the job instead of acting like I already know everything. I just moved here from Hawaii, so having a place like LSC to grow, meet people, and build a name for myself would honestly mean a lot to me. I’d treat the shop like somewhere I’m proud to work, not just another paycheck.
2.3 - Do you have any experience as a Mechanic? If so, what experience do you possess and what are your previous employments?
    • I don’t have any official mechanic experience yet, but I grew up helping my dad around his shop back home in Hawaii, so I’m not completely new to being around cars and tools. Since LSC just reopened, I feel like it would be a great place for me to learn properly, grow with the team, and bring a new smiling face into the shop.
2.4 - Do you agree to weekly background checks?
Mark the appropriate box by changing [cb] to [cbc]
    • Yes
      No
3. Scenario Based Questions

  • 3.1 - A customer comes into the shop and looks to be quite agitated, they are bothering staff and customers complaining that he disagrees with the costs of the services we provide. How would you go about handing this situation?
    • I’d stay calm and talk to him respectfully instead of matching his attitude. I’d explain that the prices are set by the shop and try to help him understand what he’s paying for. If he kept bothering staff or customers, I’d ask him to calm down and step outside with me so we could talk without causing a mess. If he still refused, I’d get a manager involved if necessary and try to help make it better.
3.2 - You see a colleague standing around and doing nothing for an extended period of time, refusing to help out with basic work. What would you do?
    • I would first go over and ask if everything is okay, because there could be a reason they have not been helping. It would be a bigger problem if they're just kicking back to get paid. If they were just choosing not to work, I would politely remind them that everyone has to do their part, especially when the shop is busy. I would try to encourage them to work together on vehicles or take turns helping the next customers if it was slow. If they continued refusing and left the rest of us doing all the work, I would let a manager know and allow them to handle it. I would not want to create drama in front of customers, but I also would not ignore it while everyone else is working hard.
3.3 - If you caught a coworker breaking policy, what would be the correct course of action?
    • I would make sure I understood what happened, then speak to them privately if it was something minor. If it was serious or kept happening, I would report it to a manager and explain only what I saw. I know the new team at LCS needs to be capable and dependable.
