Revving up
Our first few weeks back as Los Santos Customs have been nothing short of electrifying. The biggest highlight was our first event, the Customs car show, which featured over thirty cars competing for our top award of the night and a 150k prize.
We are eternally appreciative of the warm welcome the community has extended towards us, from those stopping for a quick repair to departments such as LSEMS and LSSD, making LSC their go-to shop for tuning up their fleet.
We thank each of you for making our return to action something grand.
We also want to extend a big thank you to our team. Together, we were on duty for a collective 581 hours across the previous two weeks. As our team expands, we hope to see this number continue to skyrocket. LSC is still hiring capable individuals interested in learning or improving their mechanical skills. In the first week of LSC, she clocked a total of 38.2 hours, and on top of that - joined our Public Relations team and into a leadership position, helping shape and form the division, which includes our fortnightly articles and getting events off the ground.
Fauna doesn't need to be told twice to do a task, or anything in that matter. She shows up, puts in the work, and you can tell she genuinely cares about what we're building here at Los Santos Customs. Los Santos Custom Revival car show
On May 23rd, we hosted our first event, the LSC Revival Car Show. In our mission statement, we made it clear we wanted to bring people's love for car culture back to the city. This event was the first of many to reignite that passion.
With the setting sun as our backdrop, we filled a nearby garage with more than a dozen uniquely customized vehicles across a variety of classes, from JDM imports to vintage muscle cars.
The highlight of the night was the car showcase. We had over thirty cars participate, all competing for numerous awards, including Best Paint, Best Classic, Governor's Choice, and the biggest prize of the night, Best in Show. Each award brought with it a hefty cash prize and bragging rights.
Our team evaluated every entry's vehicle thoroughly, learning the details that made each vehicle special, and with the assistance of Governor Emily Whitehorse, narrowed down the list to the cream of the crop.
Once the judges had time to deliberate, they gathered all attendees to announce the results. First was Mikey Jose, who won Best Paint with Tornado Cabrio. Secondly, the Best Classic prize went to Johnny Ravenhill with their Arbiter GT. Our Governor's Choice prize was announced by Governor Whitehorse as belonging to Junny Calder's Tampa GT.
The inaugural best-in-show award was the last to be handed out at the event. Cyrus Carver rose to the top step, cementing themselves as the night's big winner. The team was blown away by the build of his Kanjo and unanimously agreed with the decision.
Our winners for best paint and classic won 75K each, Governor's choice was awarded 100k and our best in show winner took home the grand prize of 150k.
